An affiliated company of Monmet Ltd., Monmet Technologies Inc. was founded in 2003 to bring its specialized engineering and consulting expertise to the direct-vent gas and propane fireplace market, supplying a redesigned top-of-the-line product to high-end building clients and consumers.
With a family history in the metals business stretching back over 100 years, Mark Cahill founded Monmet Ltd. in 1988. Monmet built its reputation in the Mining, Cement, Pulp & Paper, Wood Processing and Power Generation industries with an old-school self-made approach to forging business relationships, with the accent on the second part of that term: relationship. Bringing Monmet’s extensive history of problem-solving, Monmet Technologies took under-engineered products offered on the market, and with comprehensive re-engineering, developed improved end-products. Using superior North American and European components, better bearings and thicker steel, we arrived at a quieter, more robust upgrade. Simply put, its better air flow for the money.
And we believe the future holds even more promise. Ventilation is just the beginning: our team is constantly working to develop new products in the hearth industry, and looking further afield into the burgeoning green technology of small wind turbines. At Monmet Technologies Inc., we really do believe the answers are blowing in the wind.
